Party Building

In 1986, Grant Thornton China established the Communist Party branch, and in 2010, the Grant Thornton China Communist Party Committee was formed. This was the first party committee in the Certified Public Accountant industry to be established by direct election under the guidance of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. Each branch office has established a party organisation, comprising one Party committee, four general Party branches, and 22 party branches. The party membership comprises over 700 individuals, including over 70 partners. Grant Thornton China has always adhered to the policy of party building to lead the business. This is achieved by following the way of "building a strong team, leading a good team, and always focus on business development". This approach has been instrumental in fostering the firm's safe and sustainable growth.

In the early months of 2021, Grant Thornton China introduced a new approach to national party-building business joint mechanisms, which were created to enhance the integration of party building work across head office and branch offices. These joint mechanisms were established via the Party building and business joint meeting, the Party building joint meeting, and the disciplinary inspection joint meeting. The establishment of the joint mechanism of party building business has effectively strengthened the linkage between the headquarters Party committee and the branch party organisations. It provides a strong organisational guarantee and institutional support for strengthening the leadership of the headquarters party building to form a national party building force. Ultimately, it promotes the organic unity and overall coordinated development between the headquarters Party committee and the branch party organisations, as well as the party building and business.
