Grant Thornton awarded “2014 China top 10 most influential brands of service trade industry”

During May 28 to June 1, the third CIFTIS (China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services)(Beijing Fair), hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Beijing Municipal Peoples Government was held in the China National Convention Center. Grant Thornton was awarded the “2014 China top 10 most influential brand of service trade industry” during the “Chinese and international trade in services brands promotion” activities on May 30.    

CIFTIS (Beijing Fair), an international fair supported by World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, provides a comprehensive service trade platform both domestically and internationally. It’s an important channel for services trading in and out of China.

Nearly a thousand companies participated in various kinds of awards competition, including the “2014 China service trade (industry) top ten most influential brand” award. Grant Thornton stood out from hundreds of candidates in the same industry, and won the “2014 China top 10 most influential brands” awards after scrutinous evaluation by the expert committee, due to Grant Thornton’s “one firm, one China” operational model and its service innovation, especially in helping clients with going public overseas and merger & acquisition. The evaluation committee  is composed of experts from UIBE (the University of International Business and Economy), and experts and leaders from the WTPF (World Trade Point Federation)China Association of Trade in Service , Beijing brand association and other relevant governmental departments, as well as some branding organisations.  

Grant Thornton will be included into the “2014 China Competitive Trade Service Brand” report as the winner of the “top 10 most influential brands”. The report provides authoritative conclusions formed by the third parties, such as industry management institutions, scientific research institution of foreign trade and economy and international organizations, etc, aiming at promoting quality “Chinese services” to overseas market and establish Chinese service brands. The award is a significant milestone in brand development for Grant Thornton, signifying a public recognition not only on our business development, but also on our brand impact after renaming.
