Grant Thornton IBR Q4 press release: China businesses show cautious optimism on economic prospects in 2014

According to the latest Grant Thornton International Business Report 2013 (IBR), China mainland businesses show cautious optimism on economic prospects in 2014. Showing by the results, 38% of the respondents are optimistic for the outlook of China’s economy over the next 12 months, 46% is neither optimistic nor pessimistic, 16% is pessimistic. The survey also reveals that less Chinese businesses are concerned about future economic uncertainty in Q4-2013, dropping 9 percentage points over the last quarter to 30%. The reforms introduced by the Third Plenary Session of 18th CPC Central Committee lay a foundation for economic sustainable growth and structural readjustment for China in 2014, which alleviated mainland businesses’ concern for economic risk to a certain degree.Please read the full article here.
