Grant Thornton: China business optimism shows significant uptick in Q3

According to the latest Grant Thornton International Business Report 2013 (IBR), China business optimism on economic prospects shows significant uptick in Q3, rising by 27 percentage points from Q2, to 31% . As economic data shows recovery in Q3, China businesses’ confidence is remarkably boosted. The revenue expectation over next 12 months also elevates from 60% in Q2 to 65% in Q3. But the survey also indicates that, affected by the business optimism’s downturn in Q2, a number of indicators remain to be restored, including expectations on profitability (42%), selling price (27%) and exports (12%), which all suffered a further drop after falls in Q2.
