Grant Thornton Jingdu Tianhua appoints new partner

Hong Kong - Grant Thornton Jingdu Tianhua is proud to announce the appointment of Barry Tong as partner of transaction advisory services effective 10 January 2011.

Barry specialises in transaction advisory services. He has over 16 years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction supports, recovery and reorganisation, forensic investigation, assurance and initial public offerings.

Prior to joining
Grant Thornton Jingdu Tianhua, Barry was a principal of corporate finance in an international accounting firm. He had also worked as a manager in the Financial Advisory Services Department in major accounting firms.

Barry has completed over 60 due diligence and transaction advisory engagements in Hong Kong and mainland China over the past four years. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Grant Thornton would continue to deploy resources in Hong Kong and mainland China, and expect its numbers in China (including Hong Kong) to reach 5,000 by 2015.
